I enjoy playing the exercises for the "Sound" when practicing Dahlgren and Fine's book 4 Way Coordination.
Try hitting the drum's sweet spot, accenting notes and swinging the quarter notes. Play the first two measures as eighth notes and then the next two measures as quarter notes.
